February 6 – Saturday – 10am to 2 pm
Environmental Stewardship Saturday
We will join Trinity Episcopal Church members in cleaning up Hopkins’s Park, 202 Hopkins Street (painting, picking up trash, light construction projects) I will be there the entire time…your parents may join us or drop you off and I will watch over you. Lunch and water provided. Let me know if you can make it so I can be on the lookout for you. Map attached. You can earn up to 4 service hours.
February 7 – Super Bowl Sunday 5:00 –Halftime
We will join to gather in the Parish Hall to watch the Saint and the Colts in Super Bowl. Official Kick-off is 5:18 – but more probably 5:30…we will paint 30 Hour Famine signs and get materials before the game starts. We will have dinner and enjoy cheering on our favorite team….sorry Brian…no Cowboys L
February 14 – 4:00 til game end…
Jaguar Baseball for St. Valentine’s Day –
We will meet at Rosebud Stadium in Riverside Park to watch the Jaguars play Brownsville. Tickets compliments of President Hudson…so let me know if you can come so he can secure enough tickets.
February 17th – Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper 5:30 pm
Traditionally the Youth help set up and wait tables for this event. We will also use this time as a fund raising opportunity for 30 Hour Famine. Let me know if you can be on hand to help.
February 21 – EYM at the Youth House –
Jr. Highs – 5.00 to 6.30
Sr. Highs – 6.30 to 7.30
February 26 and 27 – 30 Hour Famine –
Information will be going home the week of February 1st. All students 7th – 12 grades are invited to participate. This year you will have to raise at least $40.00 to attend – and really should easily make more if you are committed to the cause. This is a very fun event that has far reaching effects for those living in poverty. I hope that you join us and come prepared to be changed as you help change the world.
February 28 - No EYM
I know this is a busy month for everyone…but I hope to see you at any and all of these events. I miss you when you are not with us. Please share with your parents and friends and discuss with them the events you would like to attend. It is going to be a fun month serving God and sharing time with each other.
